Fitter Critters provides swimming programs and therapy (AquaPaws) in the comfort of our heated indoor jet pool. The pool is approximately 19 ft long x 9 ft wide x 4½ ft deep, with easily accessible stairs, resting benches, whirlpool and three speeds of resistance swimming jets. The water is heated to 88-90 degrees for maximum muscle relaxation.

Unlike many rehabilitation facilities, care is offered on a one-to-one basis with only one dog and a certified aquatic therapist in the pool or gym area. This allows your dog to focus on the therapy and fully participate in the care provided.

A certified aquatic therapist works  in the pool with your dog to provide complete attention to muscles, joints, range of motion and proper limb movement. Dogs wear a life vest during the session so even non-swimmers are comfortable! Some non-swimmers gain confidence by beginning on the Underwater Treadmill (UWTM).
